In 2017, the Education Above All Foundation (EAA), a newcomer to the philanthropic world, decided to raise awareness of its achievement in reaching ten million out-of-school children around the world through its 42 global partners, from UNICEF to ExxonMobil. Eventique was called upon to create and produce this monumental acknowledgment with a two-tiered event at The New York Public Library.
For the “Together for 10 Million” general session, a custom stage designed around the library’s historic Celeste Bartos Forum was built to accommodate multiple components of the program. Keynote addresses from United Nations Secretary General Antonio Guterres, The President of Ghana, Nana Akufo-Addo, and EAA’s Founder, Her Highness Sheikha Moza bint Nasser, took place on one section of the stage, while a group panel discussion took place on the other side, and the calling of 42 partners to the stage required an area of its own. Program highlights also included a catwalk-style parade of schoolchildren lead by Naomi Campbell, and the unveiling of lighting up the Empire State Building in EAA’s branded colors.
The mix of guests, from UN ambassadors to high profile foundation supporters like Forest Whitaker, later moved to the reception and exhibition in the library’s iconic Astor Hall lobby, where high tech experiences provided a virtual look into the work of EAA. Interactive spherical units showcased the backgrounds of EAA’s partners while a 15-foot augmented reality wall map of 70+ locations engaged viewers to experience project outreach and school community. The environment was anchored by a central outdoor classroom environment, complete with informative graphics on the foundation’s mission.
Eventique was instrumental in virtually every component and detail of EAA’s inaugural U.S. event, including branding and custom logo design, content strategies, and marketing direction.
